Inter-racial Relationships… Still a Taboo?

s there so much shame in interracial relationships?

Is there so much shame in interracial relationships?

Oh no she didn’t! Her boo is… not black? Black women in today’s society are still afraid of breaking the tradition of dating a black man – and  might be missing out because of it.

Ever notice how it’s fine for a black man to be with another race, but when a black woman does the same thing, it’s considered a strange site?

Studies have shown that 70% of black women are single, and obviously it’s because we are incredibly ghetto, uneducated, no class, and bad attitudes – according to black men. I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT ALL BLACK MEN AND WOMEN. But are these REALLY the reasons so many of us are single… Nah, I’m not buying it. Fact of the matter is – some women are really ghetto. But there are white ghetto women, Hispanic ghetto women, Indian ghetto women, and so on. Trust me, ghetto comes in every flavor at the factory. As far as being uneducated, there are more black women in college today than there are black men, including myself. So honey, get your facts straight. And I’ll admit that I might have an attitude if you’re asking me to do all these favors for you and not offering anything in return.

But hey, if a majority of black men prefer another race, well then I think it’s time that black women opened their eyes to the potential relationships THEY could have with another race as well. It’s okay, ladies, they don’t bite!

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my black men, but  I’m open to dating any nationality without hesitation, as long as they’re a good person, you know, the basics. Now I know it’s not for everyone, but this is 2013, not 1913! There is no reason to limit yourself, so get out there and at least TRY it. You might enjoy it!

And for those black men who do NOT degrade black women and know how to respect a woman, thank you!
